I friggin' love gyarados, so I knew I was going to buy the magikarp even before I started the run. My reasoning was exactly the same as Ken's--that pokemon don't count as items (and that the pokeball is complementary XD). Yay for finding loopholes in my own rules!

Edit: Realized I didn't list Levi's gender or nature. Fixed now.

So basically, Ken already knew Majikarp evolved into Gyarados and decided to get it early on, even if it would only be dead weight without and Exp. share. is that it?
Also, I too name My Gyarados Leviathan. Must be a common name. But I will be QUITE surprised if someone here named their Tentacruel Kraken
