Operation Kick@$$ Overhaul

4/29/14: I had started cleaning up this page months ago, but ended up putting it on the back burner in favor of working on newer updates. Because it was the first page I had ever drawn, it felt horribly inconsistent with the style of the rest of the comic and it seemed visually unappealing by comparison. I hope this revamped version leaves a better impression~

Here's a useless bit of trivia: This was the first page I ever put together. As if the rival battle wasn't rough enough, THIS happens. Yes, a level 4 pidgey was my first wild pokemon encounter, and yes, I spent several turns attacking air only to get critted back.

Edit: I just realized that pidgey doesn't learn sand-attack until level 5, and that it was a level 5 pidgey that I had encountered on Route 1. Ouch!

Edit 2: Also just realized that pidgey doesn't learn gust until level 9. *makes note to do proper research ahead of time* Geez, I'm a derp!
