| ABOUT ME Are you a boy or a girl? I'm a ditto! What program do you use? I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 to create everything. Do you use a tablet? Yes, I use a Bamboo Fun (Medium). I've had it for 3 years and it hasn't let me down. Do you take art requests? I'm currently NOT taking art requests, although I'll sometimes have request livestreams when I reach certain watcher milestones. Do you have any art tutorials? No, but I livestream almost every other day, and you can watch me work there. Just look out for my journal updates. Do you role-play? I used to RP way back when, but unfortunately my RPing days are over. Now, almost all of my free time is devoted to my art, so please don't ask me to join your RP group or OCT. What's that music you play during your livestreams? Yin's Epic Playlist! ABOUT KICK@$$ MODE Have you beaten the game yet? Yes, I completed my FireRed run over a year ago. How frequently do you update? I try to update at least once a week, but it normally takes me anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks to complete a page. How long does it take to make a comic page? Altogether, it can take anywhere between 10 to 16 hours (depending on complexity). Do you color the pages in grey-scale or color? I purposely color the pages in grey-scale to give them a manga feel, and because it's more efficient than color. Can the starter pokemon talk? No, they can't--not because they're mute, but because they choose not to. Did you really catch a clefairy in FireRed? Yes, I did. And you can read the full description here. Did you have Ken's story planned before creating Kick@$$ Mode, or are you making it up as you go along? Ken is an old RP character I created about 4 years ago. His story has always existed, and I had plans of turning it into an actual fanfic one day, but never did. When I decided to use his story for a nuzlocke comic, I had to tweak a few details to fit the FR/LG plot, but the key elements remained unchanged.  How did you come up with Ken's design? Ken was originally designed to be a parody of anime heroes, and I used characters such as Tai (Digimon), Cloud (FFVII), and Goku (DBZ) for inspiration. And yes, I'm aware that Ken bears a close resemblance to Reno / Axel, but that was unintentional. How old is Ken? Ken is presently 18 years old (and mentally 8). Gary and Daisy are also 18 (they're twins in my comic). Doesn't Ken make any money off of trainer battles? The Kick@$$ universe works a lot like the anime, where winning a battle doesn't necessarily mean you win the opponent's money. Trainers can still bet on battles, but it doesn't always happen. How do all the characters have such fabulous hair? They all use F-U-Gravity Hairspray (tm)! Have you ever thought of drawing gijinkas of your characters? I've done a few drawings already, but gijinkas really aren't my thing. Can I draw fan art or cameo one of your characters in my comic? I encourage it! So long as you give credit, of course~ Will there be a sequel to Kick@$$ Mode? I already have ideas for a sequel with Daisy as the main character, either in HeartGold or SoulSilver. But seeing as the current comic will take me roughly 2 to 3 years to complete, I'm not too worried about it. |
